Job Title: System Engineer

Location: Kuwait

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer to manage, maintain, and support IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and maintain high-availability server infrastructure based on VMware virtualization (vCenter/ESXi clusters).

    • Deploy, monitor, and manage Microsoft Windows Server environments including:

      • Active Directory Domain Services

      • DNS, DHCP, WSUS, NTP

      • File Services and Group Policy Management

    • Perform user and group administration, access control enforcement, shared folder permissions, and security restrictions.

    • Deploy and maintain enterprise email and collaboration platforms based on Microsoft Office 365.

    • Develop and maintain system installation, configuration, and operational procedures to support business-critical services.

    • Provide second-level technical support for escalated infrastructure and remote site issues.

    • Conduct system testing, analyze logs, optimize performance, and continuously improve infrastructure operations.

    • Collaborate with vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, and hardware providers to enhance stability and reliability.

    • Apply OS hardening standards, perform regular patching, upgrades, and secure configuration of server environments.

    • Implement and manage enterprise Antivirus/EDR solutions for servers and client systems.

    • Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam, including restore testing and recovery during outages.

    • Ensure servers, storage, monitoring, and security services are optimized for availability, scalability, integrity, and performance.

    • Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using tools such as:

    • Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform

    • Automated patch management and provisioning workflows

    • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to standardize and accelerate server and service delivery.

    • Support automation initiatives for monitoring, backups, and system compliance enforcement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 2–5 years of experience as a System Engineer or System Administrator. Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is a plus. Understanding of security practices and firewall configurations. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
